I hear you.
Whether I’m writing or editing, and whether it’s a memoir, a novel, short fiction, or an essay, I begin by listening closely. There is a story to be uncovered. There is a coherent structure, voice, and narrative that is unique to you, the author, and I want to help get it onto the page.
So I listen and I ask a lot of questions. And of course, I read. Through this process, I begin to identify what is missing and what can go. Together we make decisions that bring the work into sharper focus. Sometimes that means a developmental edit. Sometimes it means restructuring chapters. Sometimes it means becoming a full creative partner from the earliest generative stages through producing a submission-ready manuscript. I might give you prompts, I might flesh out a section in a way that could inspire you to keep going. I might give you a frame you want to step out of. But it always comes back to listening, even in the editing stage, reading aloud, hearing the words, making sure they flow.
I’ve spent decades working with writers, artists, and students, helping people articulate their stories with clarity and honesty and ensuring there is a throughline that keeps the readers engaged. Recent projects include memoirs, children’s books, commissioned nonfiction, screenplays, and books for major publishers with internationally recognized teachers.
My best work comes when I am able to slip into other people’s worlds and into their prose styles to help uncover what they are truly trying to say. The challenges can be emotional, structural, or conceptual, but my goal is always the same: to create a manuscript that feels unmistakably like you, only more clear and more fully realized.
I have an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, an M.S.Ed., and many years of experience teaching writing and leading writers workshops. I am also a published author and know how exciting it is to get your work out into people’s hands.
Rates
Every project is different. These rates are starting points to begin the conversation. After a 30-minute complimentary consultation, I’ll recommend the support that best fits your goals. I tailor each engagement to the manuscript, the writer, and the publishing path you seek.
Ongoing Coaching
For writers who want regular accountability, encouragement, and craft guidance while doing the writing themselves. Format: Scheduled one-on-one sessions
Investment: $150/hour
Manuscript Consultation
A complete read of your manuscript, a conversation about your vision and publishing goals, and a written assessment outlining the manuscript’s strengths, opportunities, and recommended next steps. Format: 60–90 min consultation + 1–2 page editorial memo
Investment: $650 flat (credited toward any engagement booked within 30 days)
Developmental Edit
A comprehensive editorial review focused on structure, pacing, narrative arc, organization, and strengthening the manuscript’s overall throughline. Includes an editorial letter and in-line comments throughout the manuscript. Format: Editorial letter + annotated manuscript
Investment: $0.05/word (~$3,500–$5,500 for a full memoir draft)
Collaborative Co-Edit
A hands-on editorial partnership. We work chapter by chapter, restructuring, deepening scenes, refining language, and strengthening voice through multiple rounds of revision, with regular strategy sessions throughout. Format: Milestone-based, chapter delivery
Investment: $12,000–$20,000 flat (25% deposit, remainder at milestones)
Ghostwriting
For nonfiction and memoir. I draw out your story through interviews and any existing material, then write in your voice while collaborating closely with you throughout the process. Available for articles, book proposals, individual chapters, or complete manuscripts.
Format: 60–90 min calls as needed +Milestone-based, chapter delivery
Investment: $.30-$.50 per word.
Co-Author Collaboration
The deepest level of editorial involvement: We develop the manuscript together from concept through a polished, submission-ready draft. This includes developmental guidance, extensive rewriting, and final preparation for agents or publishers. Format: Milestone-based, full manuscript
Investment: $20,000–$45,000 flat (milestone payments across the project)
